On Friday 10th November 2017 Key Stage 2 members of the School Council, along with Mrs Bell, Mr Chandler, PCSO Bridgwood and the Head Boy and Girl went up to St Giles Anglican Church to lay poppies on the war graves as a mark of respect.
At each of the graves PCSO Bridgwood read out the name, rank and regiment; the school council representatives then laid the poppy and bowed their heads whilst Mr Chandler spoke the words
We thank you for your service and the sacrifice you made.
The group observed a minute’s silence as a final mark of respect then made their way back to school.
The photographs and videos from the morning were shown in the special assembly, which finished with the whole school observing the minute’s silence.
