Christmas 2018

Children in Reception decorated their own Christmas Tree and they did an amazing job!

Key Stage 1’s Christmas Production was called ‘The Christmas Postman’ Postman Pete was overloaded with parcels and mixed them all up!  Did he find the right one to show us the true meaning of Christmas?

Children in Early Years had a very special visitor who gave each of them a gift, then they went back to the classroom for a party with games,  food and dancing.  Thank you, Santa!

We took part in various musical events – our Community choir performed at the Christmas lights switch on; Senior Choir sang for the visitors to Home Link and also for shoppers outside Morrisons.

On Wednesday December 5th, thirty five excited children boarded the coach and headed for the Staffordshire County Christmas Concert at Victoria Hall, Hanley.
When they arrived they immediately started rehearsing with the other 250 children from across the county. Many of the songs were split into two parts and there were lots of actions to learn. The songs ranged from the more traditional We Three Kings and Winter Wonderland to more recent compositions such as Peace Child, The children were delighted that the County Music Department had asked of all the schools could sing Cheadle Primary’s solo song from last year,  ‘Christmas Night‘.
This year the school’s solo item was ‘Light of the World‘, the children singing the song exactly fifteen years after it was first performed at the same venue.  At the end of the song the children held their glow sticks high in the air as the hall was the plunged into  darkness. An audible gasp from the audience preceded loud applause and cheers.
The evening finished with the traditional performance of The Twelve Days of Christmas with actions and the children headed off clutching their glow sticks, safe in the knowledge of another outstanding performance that made staff and parents very proud.
